Taxiway “C” over Sepulveda Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA
GREYSTONE Construction Manager was assigned the initial task of completing a six-week plan review of a design for a 170-foot extension of an existing tunnel under an existing runway. The design also includes a new bridge, new lighting system, and a new ventilation system for the tunnel traversing Sepulveda Boulevard. The primary reason for the renovation was to eliminate the jog in the taxiway and to enable the renovated taxiway to accommodate large passenger airplanes. Additional scope of work included a remodeled fire station, lighting system in the tunnel, and new ventilation system. GREYSTONE Construction Manager was responsible for construction management assistance, scheduling/cost engineering, construction coordination, change order control, and utility coordination with LADWP.
